Complete Junk, but I found one that does work August 27, 2008 Ocean (Oceanside) I wanted this to work so badly but it broke on the first walk of a 25 pound dog. Please! I was going to give up completely on this concept until I found a seller on Ebay who makes such a high quality hands free leash I can't stop gushing about it. Go on Ebay and look for TJ's Custom Made Pet Supplies in the store's section. I shop enough on Amazon for them to deal with this referral to Ebay.
A Great Concept! July 30, 2008 Jerome S. Shull (Prescott AZ) This style of having the leash attached to an adjustable belt is a great concept but it could use a little tweaking. There are 2 plastic clips that hang from the belt. The leash is clipped onto either of these. The clips themselves have not been strong enough to survive unexpected lunges from my 42 pound female pup. Even with the elasticized lunge buster, I have had 2 clips snap in my 1st month of use! Other tweaking has to do with how you "store" the leash if and when you set your dog loose. The second clip, which hangs from the belt, comes with the system and allows you to plug in the collar end of the leash (or to attach a second leash, as an alternative) but when you do this, the part of the leash that is left looping in front of you is cumbersome so I wind up tucking some of it into my clothing which looks a bit weird and draws comments from others! In conclusion, I really like the concept of this product. The manufacturer replaced my first broken leash quickly and without charge. I acknowledge my dog is very active (she's not nearly as strong a many dogs out there) but I would like the plastic clips to be heftier or better made.
I love it - so do the dogs! May 2, 2008 Rebecca Mccarrier (Apex, NC) Every time I get this leash out, my dogs know they are going for a run and they can't hold in their excitement. The usually mellow nine year old starts by bouncing off the walls, then remembers that he must SIT if he is to be on the leash. The always excitable two year old dog starts running laps around the house - her warm up, I suppose. Lots of ways to connect/disconnect, and I've even used the "belt" with a regular leash if I want to run with one dog on each side.
Good quality, works great October 6, 2007 L. Brodzik (Boston, MA) Nice, wide, soft nylon belt and leash, much better quality nylon than I expected. The dog's leash attaches to a loop that can slide around on the belt; this is good because it slides instead of pulling if the dog hangs back a little, but it can also slide right off when you're taking the belt off. Just a heads up. :)
All I expected and more! July 19, 2007 Jodi Loomis (Littleton, CO) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product is sturdy and offers great flexibility. I can use it for one or two dogs at a time, and if I let them off leash I can click the leashes back into the belt. Strong enough to withstand some nonsense from my naughty Lab too! I use it everyday for a German Shepherd and Lab and they can walk on the same side or one on my left and one on my right. I highly recommend it. I may even start carrying weights with me now that my hands are free!
