I have a small dog who is always looking for a warm spot. Hate to leave the furnace on high during the few cool days we have in Houston when no one else is home so I got her this. Now this is her permanent spot whether it is cool in the house or not. Great product.

The bed has become the new sleeping grounds for Pickles the Cat. He ignored the bed at first, but with a little introduction, took it as his own. The bed is the perfect size if you have an average sized cat. The top hood is great and is really easy to mold. Each section is thick - hood, bottom, and front rim. The bottom padding consists of two egg-crate foam pieces with the heating pad wedged between them. We noticed the warmth when feeling the bed after Pickles got up.

The kitty hut is a little small but that doesn't matter one bit to my cat. She is normally a long haired cat that we keep shaved for the sake of our furniture. Since we introduced her to the heated Kitty Hut she rarely leaves it. She loves it. I love that I don't have to worry about her being cold anymore.

Aside from the fact that the product took 5 days to travel fewer than 100 miles, I found it a great disappointment. First of all the advertisements indicated that the hut top could be positioned up or down, but that was not the case. More importantly, the heated bed never felt even slightly warm after being plugged in for hours. My cat rejected it out of hand, even though she loves her fleece beds.

The kitty hut arrived in a timely manner and was exactly as advertised. The problem is Misty has yet to use it. It came in December and it is halfway through February and has not been used. I bought it since she loves the electric blanket on my bed, but I can't leave it on all day when I'm at work. I thought the kitty hut was the perfect solution. She hides behind it, sniffs it, but doesn't use it. I even sprinkled catnip in it to entice her with no luck. It's not the fault of the company, but I spent a lot of money for something she doesn't use. Cats...go figure! Kay L.
