An affordable 12 1/2 in. x 25 in. heated sleeping mat. The 4-watt single thermostat heater is buried beneath soft foam to make a comfortable napping place for cats. The surface of the bed will remain 12-15 degrees above ambient air temperature and warm to 102 degrees when in use. It seems this mat has received many bad reviews for the heating element. That may have been the case in the past, but the product I just purchased has a 20"x5 1/2" heating element. The pad itself (made from quality materials) is 24"lx12"w. My cat loves this mat, and it stays very, very warm.

My Kitty pad wasn't only 20% heated, it was more, but not the full 100%. Maybe it was a different model. 'Lucy' loves it, even tho it's Oct and 80'F+. She spreads as much of her under body, chin and neck over it. She does localize herself to the center as that is where the interior heat pad is.
She's on it right now.
By the way I wish I bought it on Amazon. I got mine at Petco WeHo CA for $50. Duh

I really liked the mat it was great an the kitty loved it too, my girlfriends cat loves it, they loe the warming of the mat. Then only problem we had with it was with color options i wish they was more than just beige to choose from you know.

If you're interested in this product, you really should take a look at the video review. I did and I ignored it. And I'm very, very sorry that I did.
I just bought our second Thermo Kitty Mat. I did it despite the very clear video review/warning about how K&H cheapened the product--with the heated coil covering less than half the pad.
Why did I ignore that review? Because we already have one pad from K&H--the identical pad, as it happens, that we bought a couple years ago--and it had the coil running the entire length of the pad. I refused to believe that K&H would intentionally cheapen the product and not make clear to customers that the heating coil was so small.
I was wrong. The pad just came. And sure enough, the heating coil covers less than half the pad. I find this not only blatantly false advertising, but I will make sure that everyone I know who is interested in purchasing this product hears about it.
I find it absolutely incomprehensible that K&H would cheapen a previously excellent product and not disclose that the heating coil was so small in relation to the length of the pad. Yes, your cat, as ours, may love the heated part. But you're not getting what you pay for, your cat will have a pad that's largely unheated, and that's wrong. Period.

I bought the Thermo Kitty Mat for our senior cat,Buster-age 17. I put it in a favorite box that all our cats (4) like. At first he wouldn't use it. Now a month later it has become the most popular bed in the house. At any time during a 24 hour period there is usually a cat snoozing in the box. I guess I will just have to get another Thermo Kitty Mat....soon!!
