Best boots so far, but durability a problem December 29, 2008 S. Barrett (Central ME USA) This is the 3rd pair of boots we've tried for our Golden, who spends a good deal of time running in snow and on ice during the winter. For performance on the dog, they've been great. They go on easy, which we did not find of the boots with the high neoprene cuffs. Fairly non-slip on the ice, keep her feet from getting torn up. They prevent the dreaded snowball toes. Every now and then, they flip around on her feet so the tops are on the bottoms. One is worn through from a single time that occurred. All stitching is single needle, which I would NOT expect out of a $40 dog boot. One boot has come undone on the toe cap and it now collects an uncomfortable ball of snow inside the toe cap, which brings the dog to a stop. Will need to be repaired by hand. The boos are now about 3/4 season old and get use about 3 days per week in the winter.
The only booties worth buying!!! June 27, 2007 Ashley L. Naylor (Sacramento, CA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have two VERY ACTIVE border collies, anyone who has a border collie would understand that understatement, and I am also a full time dog trainer, and for the past three years I've been on a quest for good booties that stay on and that actually protect from the rocks and snow that my dogs hike in (They are also excellent for really hot asphalt for those of us that live in a more urban/suburban area). I've gone through a myriad of other brands and they just don't fit right and they just don't last...these are wonderful.
