the green method...... November 30, 2008 Laura Eakes (Port Neches, TX USA) I have been slowing switching all of my families cleaning products over to Method products. They clean well, have nice, fresh scents instead of choke worthy chemical scents in most "toxic" cleaners, and come in very mod, clean line, eco friendly packaging. Method has made it easy being green. I gave the tub cleaner a 4 instead of 5 because it was a little too strong a scent for me, but it is still WAY better smelling than most commercial tub cleaners. The product does get a 5 for cleaning ability though, especially the "ring around the bathtub" on my old porcelain bath. 4 stars!
Smells nice, but irritates my lungs November 28, 2008 City Of Rocks I do like the smell of this product; it's very nice, but it's also very potent. It will fill a pretty big area. The first time I used this product, it did irritate my lungs. I don't know if this is the eucalyptus, or perhaps the mint oil...but it was potent and I wasn't going to use this cleaner again. The reason I did, however, is because my other option was the Scrubbing Bubbles, which does a fabulous job but isn't good for you if it's absorbed through the skin. I'd rather not use something like that all. So I used the Method and just made sure the windows were all the way open and did the fastest job I could while still doing a thorough job. This was a bit of a challenge because like many other natural cleaners, effectiveness suffers. While the natural derivatives are nice, this product will require some extra effort to get off soap scum. We solved this by saving the plastic netting from the produce we bought and making scrubbies out of those. Using this tool, the Method gave us a decent looker shower. We still needed a second cleaning to get the shower to really shine. The Method is said to be natural-a distinct plus. But the problem is, the ingredients aren't specifically listed. So you can't really decide if you agree about the safety of the ingredients and learn all there is about them before exposing the family. For now, Method seems a better alternative to the traditional chemical cleaners, but I would like to know what I'm using, especially because I ended up coughing for quite some time after cleaning the shower. So even if something is natural, it still might cause problems. And I'm not sure if it's 100% natural, or just some ingredients are natural. I would love to see the spray/stream function on the nozzle labeled. Stream is the first setting, so if you're not aware of the spray/stream feature, you may end up using a lot more of this than you'd like because the stream covers such a small area. You can spray it onto the paper towel, of course, but perhaps with decreased effectiveness. So, in a nutshell, I like the smell very much and I like the idea of using a natural product, but I'd rather use something more effective and something that doesn't irritate my lungs. I'd like to know the ingredients too, because if I were to see a doctor about my lungs, the doctor would probably want to know what I'd been breathing. Also, I'd like to know before I use a product whether or not I agree it's safe.
Minty Fresh August 26, 2008 LH422 (Washington, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
All around, this is a great tub and shower cleaner. I've been using it to clean my tub for the past two years and I've been very pleased with the results. You'll notice quickly that this cleaner is a liquid. There's no foaming action, there are no scrubbing bubbles. But despite that it cleans, and it cleans well. This is not a harsh cleaner- it's not going to eat the finish off your tub (thankfully). But it works- it removes stains and soap scum, and leaves a shiny, clean finish behind. And perhaps the best thing about it is the scent. Most bathroom cleaners have a strong bleach or ammonia odor, but not this one- it smells pleasantly of mint. One caveat- as this is not a bleach-based product, I don't think it would do much to whiten the grout between tiles, but for regular cleaning, it's a pleasure to use, and leaves a beautiful scent behind. Highly recommended.
WAY OVER priced on Amazon!!! January 31, 2008 R. shevey (Pulaski, WI United States) 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
The Method products deserve 5 stars..i just put 1 hoping this would get noticed because even with Amazons "sale" prices, they are STILL way over what you'd pay at Target, even with gas $$!!! I've tryed almost all the Method products..GREAT cleaners, GREAT scents! Well worth how little they cost at Target!! BTW~before you shop at Target, go to your local Goodwill store, sells TONS of NEW Target stuff...lots of times only payed $1 for these Method Cleaners!! I also buy target toys/clothing/bedding etc at Goodwill...than i shop at Target if Goodwills out.

I use this on a travertine tile bathroom. Cleans great and doesn't damage the stone, smells good too!
